repentance

Mark 1:14
14 Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”

What is repentance or what does it mean to repent? It can be debated but I’m thankful to have the official definition from Webster.com

Definition of REPENT

intransitive verb

1: to turn from sin and dedicate oneself to the amendment of one's life

2a : to feel regret or contrition
b : to change one's mind

transitive verb

1: to cause to feel regret or contrition
2: to feel sorrow, regret, or contrition for

Repentance or to repent is initially a one time occurrence that we should roll into our daily checklists. We transition from changing our minds about living a life without Christ to accepting Him. We transition from daily thinking like the world system says think to renewing our minds and taking on the mind of Christ. Its all repentance and to repent daily is necessary for our growth in the Lord.
