Matthew 6 31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
Faith in God vs Faith in ourselves
It is sometimes a challenge to live our lives with faith in God when we really live our lives based on the balance of our banking accounts. It is more assuring to know that hey I have a paycheck coming this week or to go online and see that positive balance or call and hear that positive available balance. God wants us to look to Him as our provider and to remember that even if we do have those checks rolling in and that nice positive available balance that we should place our Faith in Him instead of anything else. The a part of Deuteronomy 8:18 states “But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth” So even in having a job its God who blesses us each time to go and produce a paycheck or income. Jesus tells us to not worry in this passage or to put our complete faith in God because He is our provider and has us covered on all ends. That is a promise of Christ and God’s words do not return void.
